Standard 52-card no-limit Texas hold'em. Fictional examples, not betting advice.

## Follow one hand

Two private cards. Three flop cards, one turn, one river. The best five-card
hand may use zero, one, or two private cards. A hand can end earlier when all
but one player folds. A fold gives up any claim; a check does not.

## Strongest to weakest

Royal flush (the highest straight flush); straight flush; four of a kind;
full house; flush; straight; three of a kind; two pair; one pair; high card.
Only five cards count. No sixth-card tiebreaker. Suits do not rank hands.
A-2-3-4-5 is a five-high straight. Q-K-A-2-3 is not a straight.

## Decode a caption

BTN = button. SB = small blind. BB = big blind, or big-blind units.
As = ace of spades; Qh = queen of hearts; Td = ten of diamonds; 8c = eight of clubs.
AKs = ace-king suited. AKo = ace-king offsuit. These are classes, not exact suits.
A 24,000 stack at a 1,000 big blind is 24 BB; at a 1,500 big blind it is 16 BB.
An ante is a separate forced contribution, not part of a live call.

## Count once

Bet 400, raise TO 1,400: the original bettor needs 1,000 more to call.
A 1,200 pot becomes 3,000 after those two actions and 4,000 after that call.
An uncalled excess is returned. Side pots have separate eligible players.
The pot awarded includes the winner's own contributions; it is not net profit.

## Read a percentage with its assumptions

Pot 20, bet 10, call 10: final pot 40. Simple break-even equity: 10 / 40 = 25%.
This assumes no further betting or fees; it is not a full tournament decision.
Completing a draw is not the same as winning. A displayed range is an assumption
unless the actual cards are known. An edited episode is not a complete results log.
