The player behind the poker pages.

I play live tournament poker and study how decisions hold up when the result is uncertain. Here I separate independently recorded finishes from my own notes, teaching examples, and video plans.

I'm developing a tournament poker vlog that will show the context behind hands, the decisions I faced, and what I can verify afterward. No episode is presented as published on this site until a finished video and its source-checked companion are actually available.

Selected tournament results, with sources.

These are selected publicly listed results, not a complete record of tournaments played, and not a measure of poker profit. Event dates and finishes come from the linked tournament listings.

  • June 25, 2026: 5th place, Lucky 300 No-Limit Hold'em. South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, Las Vegas. The event recorded 1,652 entries. Full results at The Hendon Mob.
  • August 10 to 11, 2026: 13th place, WSOP Circuit 8-Max Pot-Limit Omaha. Harrah's Cherokee Event #8, with 341 entries. Official WSOP event results.
  • September 30 to October 2, 2026: 20th place, WSOP Circuit Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em. Thunder Valley Event #10, with 638 entries. Official WSOP event results.
  • August 20, 2025: 4th place, WSOP Circuit Limit Omaha Eight-or-Better. Graton Casino Event #9, with 101 entries. Official WSOP event results.

What the records establish: a published placing in a specified event. A recorded cash is a gross payout, not net profit. Lists may omit entries, reentries, expenses, staking, and events without a cash. Results and database totals can be revised by their publishers. No bracelet, Circuit ring, profitability, or professional status is claimed here.

What I pay attention to in a poker hand.

The most useful hand record starts with what I actually knew at the table: position, blinds, effective stacks, action, bet sizes and the board. Missing numbers and uncertain recollections should be labeled rather than reconstructed as if they were certain.

After a tournament, I can review the alternatives, study the price of a call, or consider tournament pressure. That later analysis is not what I necessarily thought during play. A fortunate result does not prove the decision was sound, and an unfavorable result does not prove it was wrong.

For the method, read Review a hand, not just the result and the example of a hand explained before and after an edit. The worked hands there are marked as instructional examples, not mislabeled as my personal tournament history.

Tournament videos and written companions.

My intended poker vlog follows actual events, but a video companion belongs on this site only after its footage, chronology, public claims and voiceover have been reviewed. I want a returning viewer to follow the tournament story and a new viewer to understand the decisions without already knowing every poker term.

The first Portland Meadows video companion is now published, with the source-linked video and its decision timeline. Read the two reconstructed hands: 6-4 offsuit on the bubble and pocket sevens four-handed. Independent player listings and corrections.

For further independent records, see the WSOP player listing, Global Poker Index results, and The Hendon Mob database. Each service uses its own coverage and reporting conventions. Figures from one source should not be combined with another without checking overlap and definitions.

For the author's broader work, visit About Nolan Kido and the practical AI projects. To report an incorrect event, missing citation or other correction, contact me with the public source. Please do not include other players' private information.
